Adopted before laws would allow identifying information, I am curious to see what genetic history I have in my bloodline. Rather than going thru the unnecessary and extremely expensive method of tracking down records that may or may not lead me to the correct information I have heard a great deal about DNA genealogy which can give some idea as to the ethnicity and background of a person via genetic mapping. How valid is this and could anyone point me in the direction of a firm which does such mapping?
